Blast Cricket

No cricket gear required! Cricket Blast provides all the equipment your child needs to participate. Simply bring your Cricket Blast shirt, sports shoes, a hat and a water bottle, and we'll take care of the rest.

U10s / U11s

There's no need to purchase a full set of cricket equipment for U10s and U11s. Peninsula Junior Cricket Club provides each team with a complete kit, including bats, pads, helmets, batting gloves and wicket-keeping equipment, so there's no major equipment outlay for families. We do recommend that boys have their own protective box, as this is personal protective equipment and should be individually fitted.

Girls Cricket

Protective equipment is compulsory for all junior cricketers when batting. Players must wear a properly fitted helmet with a full-face guard, batting pads and batting gloves. Wicket-keepers in Under 11s and Under 13s must wear a helmet at all times. In Under 15s and older age groups, helmets are required when standing up to the stumps or within 2 metres of the stumps.

Boys Cricket

All boys must wear the appropriate protective equipment. Batters are required to wear batting pads, batting gloves, a protective box and a properly fitted helmet with a full-face guard. Wicket-keepers must wear wicket-keeping gloves, wicket-keeping pads, a protective box and a helmet with a full-face guard at all times. Parents are responsible for providing their child's personal protective equipment and playing gear for these age groups.
