New to Cricket?

Thinking about giving cricket a go? Whether your child is picking up a bat for the first time or looking to join a team, we're here to make getting started simple, fun and welcoming for the whole family.
Our club proudly provides cricket opportunities for boys and girls aged 5–17 of all abilities, from introductory Cricket Blast programs through to junior competitions and senior park cricket. No previous experience is needed — just enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and a love of being active with friends.

Parent Information

Welcome to the club! Once registered, you'll be allocated to a team or program and contacted by your coach or team manager with training and match information. We encourage families to get involved, ask questions and become part of our cricket community.

One of the most common questions new families ask is, "How long do games go for?" While times can vary slightly, here's a general guide:

  • Woolworths Cricket Blast Skills: Approximately 60 minutes

  • Woolworths Cricket Blast Competition: Approximately 90 minutes

  • Under 10s & Under 11s: Around 2 hours

  • Girls Cricket: Around 2-4 hours (depending on age group)

  • Under 12s and above: Around 4 hours

As a volunteer-run club, parent support plays an important role in creating a great experience for all players. This might include helping with scoring, setting up equipment, or simply cheering on the players from the sidelines. Every contribution, big or small, helps make our club a welcoming and successful community.
