Match Day
(excluding Blast Cricket)

Before the Match
Players should arrive atleast 30 minutes before the scheduled start time. This gives the team time to warm up, prepare the field, meet with the coach and receive team announcements. Don't forget to bring a water bottle, hat, sunscreen and any required cricket equipment.
During the Match
After the toss, the game begins with one team batting and the other fielding. Every player has the opportunity to contribute, whether that's batting, bowling, fielding or supporting their teammates. Junior cricket places a strong emphasis on participation and player development, with age-appropriate rules designed to maximise involvement and enjoyment. Parents are encouraged to cheer positively from the sidelines and help create a supportive environment for all players, coaches and officials.
After the Match
At the conclusion of the game, teams gather to thank the opposition and officials before packing away equipment. Coaches often spend a few minutes discussing the match, recognising great teamwork and highlighting areas for improvement. It's a great opportunity for players to celebrate their achievements and enjoy being part of the club community.
Training
Most teams also train once during the week, with sessions focusing on batting, bowling, fielding and match skills. Training provides players with the opportunity to improve, build confidence and have fun with their teammates in preparation for the weekend's game.
